Roger Bannister: Oh, I feel like Nancy Drew in the mystery of the mid-life crisis.
Don Juan: Every woman is a mystery to be solved.
Sara: We know you're frustrated, Jack Bruno... Jack Bruno: No. No more "Jack Bruno this, Jack Bruno that." I've been asking for answers... Sara: You already know the answers, Jack Bruno. My brother and I are indeed not from your planet. Jack Bruno: [laughs] That's it? So that's it? Mystery solved! You two want me to believe that you're both aliens. Seth: It is the truth. Jack Bruno: Really? Well, you don't look like aliens. Sara: Well, what does an alien look like, Jack Bruno? Jack Bruno: You know what aliens look like. They look like, like little green people with antennas and, and laser guns and, "Take me to your leader, Earthlings."
Grace Wyckoff: Mystery loves company.
Maya: So is it kind of about death and mortality, or...? Miles Raymond: Mrnmm, yeah... but not really. It shifts around a lot. Like you also start to see everything from the point of view of the father. And some other stuff happens, some parallel narrative, and then it evolves - or devolves - into a kind of a Robbe-Grillet mystery - with no real resolution.
Father of Esther: [first lines - narration] From whence comes the purpose of a person's life? Coming by chance? A casting of the lot? Or does a call of destiny beckon to each of us? Many have wondered about my little Hadassah, and why a simple Jewish orphan was chosen to stand against the annihilation of her people. And yet the mystery of the girl most know as Esther, begins not where one might think, but 500 years earlier, with a single act of disobedience. Father of Esther: King Saul of the Israelites had been sent by the prophet Samuel to wipe out an ancient child-sacrificing enemy. So pervasive was their evil that not even their oxen or their sheep were to be spared. And above all, no survivors left breathing.
[repeated line] Mystery Man: We've met before, haven't we?
[last lines] Gale: Okay I think it's going to go something like this, just stay with me. Hi, this is Gale Weathers with an exclusive eyewitness account of this amazing breaking story. Several more local teens are dead, bringing to an end the harrowing mystery of the masked killings that has terrified this peaceful community like the plot of some scary movie. It all began with the scream of a 911, and ended in a bloodbath that has rocked the town of Woodsboro. All played out here in this peaceful farmhouse, far from the crimes and the sirens of the larger cities that its residents have fled. Okay, let's take it back to one. Come on, move it! This is my big shot. Let's go.
Nell Van Dort: [about Victor] Mystery woman? He doesn't even know any women. Barkis Bittern: So you thought.

Verona: Hey CHELIOS! You know I been thinkin' about doing in your mystery girl too! yea? Yeah thats RIGHT! I know about HER! And then... [interrupted] Chev Chelios: [Sarcastically] Yea, yeah, your gonna rape my grandmother, then your gonna do her in, blah, blah, fucking blah!
Roger De Bris: [sung as Hitler] I was just a paper hanger / no one more obscurer. / Got a phone call from the Reichstag / told me I was F¸hrer. / Germany was blue / What, oh, what to do? / Hitched up my pants / and conquered France. / Now Deutschland's smiling through! Roger De Bris: [spoken] But it wasn't always so easy... It was 1932. Hindenburg was working the Big Room and I... I was playing the lounge. And then I got my big break. Somebody burned down the Reichstag. And would you believe it? They made me Chancellor. Chancellor! Roger De Bris: [sung] It ain't no mystery / if it's politics or history. / The thing you've got to know is / everything is showbiz!
Barkis Bittern: Would you care to repeat tonight's headline for us? Town Crier: [shouting so loud that the teacups rattle] Hear ye, hear ye! Victor Van Dort seen this night on the bridge in the arms of a mystery woman! The dark-haired temptress and Master Van Dort slipped away into the night! [lowers voice] Town Crier: And now the weather. Scattered showers... Barkis Bittern: Enough! That will be all.
Peter: You see, that's the beauty of invention Kin. Rules never apply and when you stumble upon something great, it's as if the world opens up for one moment and allows you to uncover one of it's million mysteries. Now the only question is, which mystery would you like to uncover.
[the Mystery Men have accidentally killed Capt. Amazing] The Blue Raja: Oh my god. Oh my god, we killed him. [the Shoveller is standing on the other side of the room] The Shoveller: What do you mean *we*? I was standing right here.
[last lines] Gina: The tender words we said to one another are stored in the secret heart of heaven. One day like rain they will fall and spread, and our mystery will grow green over the world.
Kate: Okay, my mystery correspondent, I get it - just in case you really are where and when you think you are, you'll need this [he takes out a scarf from his mailbox] Kate: . There was a freak late snow and everyone got sick. So, plenty of rest, lots of fluids. Doctor's orders. Alex: [sarcastically] Snow. Right.

Father Dominic: Don't be afraid. I gave up ass-kicking for lent. Mystery Character: But it's not lent. Father Dominic: I know.
