Dr. Kate McTiernan:
[Kate is under hypnosis, reliving her escape from Casanova] I hear him, whispering.
Alex Cross:
[about Casanova] What does he say?
Dr. Kate McTiernan:
I can feel his mouth on my ear, his breath. He tells me that he loves me.
Alex Cross:
Tell me about his face. Tell me about his eyes. His mouth.
Dr. Kate McTiernan:
[Kate's breathing begins to quicken] He has no face. A mask! He always wears a mask!
Alex Cross:
What kind of mask? What does it look like?
Dr. Kate McTiernan:
[her breathing slows] It changes. I can't show him that I hate him.
Alex Cross:
But you escape. What do you see when you escape?
Dr. Kate McTiernan:
I don't know. I'm just running. And my legs... are heavy from the drugs. And I'm lost. I'm running through hallways and there are all these rooms, I don't know where to turn! [becomes panicked, starts to cry]
Dr. Kate McTiernan:
He's behind me!
Alex Cross:
He's not behind you Kate, you get away. How? How do you get out?
Dr. Kate McTiernan:
[Kate's breathing is becoming more rapid, as she becomes more panicked] Light. Light! The light and the sun.
Alex Cross:
Do you see a barn?
Dr. Kate McTiernan:
No!
Alex Cross:
A house?
Dr. Kate McTiernan:
No! No! There's nothing! Just the light. It hurts my eyes. And then the trees, the trees again. [starts to sob, and begins to hyperventilate]
Dr. Kate McTiernan:
And the rocks are digging into my feet! And I hear him, shouting behind me, and I try to run faster! That's all I'm thinking: just run faster! [begins sobbing uncontrollably, gasping for breath]
Dr. Kate McTiernan:
And I left those girls behind! I wasn't thinking, I just told myself to run, to run, run!
Alex Cross:
[Alex reaches out to comfort Kate] It's all right, it's all right.
Dr. Kate McTiernan:
[through sobs] I left those girls!
Daniel:
[as Mr. Rogers] Hello boys and girls, today we're going to talk about dinosaurs. It's a dinosaurs line! [sings fanfair]
Daniel:
And now ladies and gentlemen, the King. [hums tune and imitates Elvis with a T-Rex]
Daniel:
Hey thank you, I'm going to make you lunch, thank you. Okay now put your claws together for James Brontosaurus! Pum pum pum, I eat wood, dada dada dada, it tastes good, dad dada no meat, big feat, I eat wood, pum pum pum! Oh I can't go on, can't go on! Now it's time for the Raptor rap. Yo I'm a Raptor doing what I can gonna eat everything till the appereance of man. Yo yo yo, see me, I'm living bellow the soil, I'll be back but I'm coming as oil!
Tony D'Amato:
I'll tell you this, in any fight it's the guy whose willing to die whose gonna win that inch. And I know, if I'm gonna have any life any more it's because I'm still willing to fight and die for that inch, because that's what living is, the six inches in front of your face. Now I can't make you do it. You've got to look at the guy next to you, look into his eyes. Now I think ya going to see a guy who will go that inch with you. Your gonna see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team, because he knows when it comes down to it your gonna do the same for him. That's a team gentlemen, and either, we heal as a team, or we will die as individuals. That's football guys, that's all it is. Now what are you gonna do?
Martin Q. Blank:
Don't you think that maybe you're just upset because I told you what I do for a living, and you got upset and *you're* letting it interfere with *our* dynamic?
Dr. Oatman:
Whoa. Martin. You didn't tell me what you did for a living...
Martin Q. Blank:
Yes, I did!
Dr. Oatman:
You didn't tell me what you did for a living for *four* sessions. *Then* you told me. And I said, "I don't want to work with you any more." And yet, you come back each week at the same time. That's a difficulty for me. On top of that, if you've committed a crime or you're thinking about committing a crime, I have to tell the authorities.
Martin Q. Blank:
I know the law, okay? But I don't want to be withholding; I'm very serious about this process. [pause]
Martin Q. Blank:
And I know where you live.
Dr. Oatman:
Oh, now see? That wasn't a nice thing to say; that wasn't designed to make me feel good. That's a... kind of a... not too subtle intimidation, and I, uh, get filled with anxiety when you talk about something like that.
Martin Q. Blank:
Come on, come on. I was just kidding, all right? The thought never crossed my mind.
Dr. Oatman:
You did think of it, Martin! You thought it, and then you said it. And now, I'm left with the aftermath of that, thinking I gotta be creative in a really interesting way or Martin's gonna blow my brains out! You're holding me hostage. That's not right.
Frank Nitti:
[Michael Sr. is requesting a sanctioned reprisal against Conner Rooney] All these years you've been living under the protection of people who care about you, and those same people are protecting you now, including me. So, if you go ahead with this, if you open that door, you're walking through it alone, and all that loyalty, and all that trust will no longer exist for you. And Mike, you won't make it. Not on your own, and not with a little boy.
Michael Sullivan:
You're protecting him already?
Frank Nitti:
We're protecting our interests, Mike.
