Keller McGavin: The difference between me and most, I will live in the Land of Legends forever.
Laura Roslin: There's no Earth. You made it all up. President Adar and I once talked about the legends surrounding Earth. He knew nothing about a secret location regarding Earth, and if the President knew nothing about it, what are the chances that you do? Adama: You're right. There's no Earth. It's all a legend. Laura Roslin: Then why? Adama: Because it's not enough to just live. You have to have something to live for. Let it be Earth. Laura Roslin: They'll never forgive you. Adama: Maybe. But in the meantime I've given all of us a fighting chance to survive. And isn't that what you said was the most important thing, the survival of the human race?
Olmec: "Legends of the Hidden Temple!" with your guide, Kirk Fogg! [Kirk descends from a climbing harness] Olmec: And here he is now!
... songs, to me, were more important than just light entertainment. They were my preceptor and guide into some altered consciousness of reality. Some different republic, some liberated republic... whatever the case, it wasn't that I was anti-popular culture or anything and I had no ambition to stir things up. I just thought of mainstream culture as lame as hell and a big trick. It was like the unbroken sea of frost that lay outside the window and you had to have awkward footgear to walk with.
Full circle. A new terror born in death, a new superstition entering the unassailable fortress of forever. I am legend.
Caretaker: [voiceover] The thing about legends is... sometimes, they're true.
Talent Show Emcee: [after the brass quintet performs] All right, yeah, listen to that applause! Whaddya say, Miss Talent Show? Extra good? No, Super! Very good, that definitely makes the Legends of Brass, of Phi Kappa Epsilon waaaay over there at Gannon College, our front-runners!
[last lines] Caretaker: [voiceover] It's said that the West was built on legends. And that legends are a way of understanding things greater than ourselves. Forces that shape our lives, events that defy explanation. Individuals whose lives soar to the heavens or fall to the earth. This is how legends are born. [Johnny transforms into Ghost Rider]
Det. Robert Hall: I know you guys are legends and all, but this is my interview. Tim Bayliss: Shut up. Det. Robert Hall: What? Excuse me? Tim Bayliss: I said, shut the hell up.
[last lines] Lancelot: [voiceover] And as for the knights who gave their lives, their deaths were cause for neither mourning nor sadness. For they will live forever, their names and deeds handed down from father to son, mother to daughter, in the legends of King Arthur and his knights.
Chuck Muckle: Mr. Branitt, what does one hundred pancake houses sound like to you? Curly Branitt: It sounds like an awful lot of pancake houses. Chuck Muckle: It will be a record! I will be the first regional manager in the history of Mother Paula's to reach one hundred pancake houses. And that is the stuff that food and beverage industry legends are made of! Ah... it is my dream. And you are responsible, Mr. Branitt, for making a tiny piece of that very big dream come true.

And as the water and the words rush past, who can fail to turn to his neighbor and whisper, with humility and awe-if this is what the weakest, the least valued, the most neglected among us are capable of achieving, truly is there anything we cannot do?
