And all for the off chance he'll sore too! Can you imagine that? Nimble the Thief: So... We're in the forest right?
[the Grand Duke arrives in Edmond's live-action bedroom] Edmond: Chanticleer? Grand Duke: No... it's not Chanticleer. Edmond: Who-who are you? Grand Duke: You put your finger in the Duke's face, remember? These are expensive, you little brat! [throws his broken monocle on the floor] Grand Duke: But that is not why the Duke is going to eat you. Edmond: Eat me? Grand Duke: Oh, dear. Now I've gone and spoiled the surprise. Always doing that. But you see, we creatures of the night have worked very hard to make absolutely sure that that bird does not return. And you... you, with no regard for the feelings of others, have the nerve to call him back here by name. And besides, I positively loathe rock 'n' roll. [laughs] Edmond: You're not gonna eat me! Patou: [narrating] And that's when the Duke hit the ceiling. [the Duke literally hits the ceiling] Patou: If Edmond wanted to bring Chanticleer back to raise the sun, the Duke was going to have something to say about it. Grand Duke: Kittens are more digestible. Patou: [narrating] Young Edmond was about to have the most amazing adventure he'd ever dreamed of. [the Duke transforms Edmond into an animated kitten and his live-action bedroom into a cartoon one]
Sky: It's my last night of freedom... which is what some might see it, but for me it's the last night before the greatest adventure of my life.
Lodge: I am never gonna finish this frecking module! Mark: Party die again? Lodge: They don't try anything new and then they blame *me* when they die. Ungrateful munchkins. I'm really kinda pissed off. Mark: This has nothing to do with your writer's block. Lodge: I do not have writer's block! I know exactly how the story ends. I just... don't know how to get there. Mark: Obviously neither do your players. Lodge: How am I supposed to write a module based on an adventure if we *never* finish the adventure? Mark: Just run 'em through it until they win... or your head explodes. Lodge: [sigh] We're gonna start all over again once we have a few more players. [pause] Lodge: Mark! Why don't you join? You used to game all the time in college. Mark: I haven't gamed since... the Incident. Lodge: [confused] Total party wipeout? Mark: Like you can't even imagine. Lodge: [Cass walks up] Hey, Cass. Cass: Lodge. Mark! Haven't seen you in a long time. It's like I forget you even exist. Mark: Yeah, I get that a lot.
Link Larkin: That's my shot, Trace. Tracy Turnblad: But, it's whats right. Link Larkin: I'm sorry, Trace. I just think this adventure is a little too big for me.
[Hayes has just explained the subtext of Heart of Darkness to Jimmy] Jimmy: It's not an adventure story. Is it, Mr. Hayes? Hayes: No, Jimmy. It's not.
Captain James Hook: Prepare to die, Peter Pan! Peter Banning: To die would be a grand adventure! Captain James Hook: Death is the only adventure you have left!
Nermal: Garfield, Jon's taking Odie on his date with Liz and he's leaving you behind. Garfield: I know, Nermal. Nermal: They're off on an adventure and you're still here. Garfield: And your point is...? Nermal: Well, that's gotta feel bad, being left by Jon while he takes Odie out, it's like... you're not his favorite anymore! Garfield: Hey, what do you say we play brain surgeon? Would you go get my power tools? Hmm... [Garfield sees the truck leaving the house] Garfield: This is so sad. Jon has completely lost his mind.
