Squidward Tentacles: [Finds SpongeBob in his shower with him] SpongeBob, what are you doing? SpongeBob SquarePants: I have to tell you something. Squidward Tentacles: Whatever it is, can't it wait until we get to work? SpongeBob SquarePants: There's no shower at work. Squidward Tentacles: What is it? SpongeBob SquarePants: I just wanted to let you know I'll be thanking you in my managerial acceptance speech today. Squidward Tentacles: [shouts] Get out!
I have never found anybody who could stand to accept the daily demonstrative love I feel in me, and give back as good as I give.
Whatever gets you through the night
Nothing brings down walls as surely as acceptance.
Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.
Life is bristling with thorns, and I know no other remedy than to cultivate one's garden.
I`ve learned that success comes in a very prickly package. Whether you choose to accept it or not is up to you. It`s what you choose to do with it, the people you choose to surround yourself with. Always choose people that are better than you. Always choose people that challenge you and are smarter than you. Always be the student. Once you find yourself to be the teacher, you've lost it.
Lucas: This isn't right. Judge Litten Mandrake: Well, it may not be right, but it worked. This is your preacceptance to the law school of your choice. Lucas: I haven't even applied yet. Judge Litten Mandrake: Imagine that. It's all paid for. I would do anything to protect you. Won't you do the same for me?
My happiness grows in direct proportion to my acceptance, and in inverse proportion to my expectations.
[T]he experience of mystery comes not from expecting it but through yielding all your programs, because your programs are based on fear and desire. Drop them and the radiance comes. (16)
Jack Elliot: Japanese way, 'Shut up and Take it'! Hiroko Uchiyama: Jack's way, 'ME, ME, ME'! Sometimes acceptance and cooperation are strengths also.
Because one believes in oneself, one doesn't try to convince others. Because one is content with oneself, one doesn't need others' approval. Because one accepts oneself, the whole world accepts him or her.
A weed is but an unloved flower.
The first step to the knowledge of the wonder and mystery of life is the recognition of the monstrous nature of the earthly human realm as well as its glory, the realization that this is just how it is and that it cannot and will not be changed. Those who think they know how the universe could have been had they created it, without pain, without sorrow, without time, without death, are unfit for illumination.
For after all, the best thing one can do when it is raining is let it rain.
Let's not hate the existence of hatred.
If God were our one and only desire we would not be so easily upset when our opinions do not find outside acceptance.
A boo is a lot louder than a cheer.
The end of a melody is not its goal: but nonetheless, had the melody not reached its end it would not have reached its goal either. A parable.
Listen to me, goblin. You're stupid, let's accept that and move on.
It was being a runner that mattered, not how fast or how far I could run. The joy was in the act of running and in the journey, not in the destination. We have a better chance of seeing where we are when we stop trying to get somewhere else. We can enjoy every moment of movement, as long as where we are is as good as where we'd like to be. That's not to say that you need to be satisfied forever with where you are today. But you need to honor what you've accomplished, rather than thinking of what's left to be done (p. 159).
The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for.
And you require no answers
For a very long time everybody refuses and then almost without a pause almost everybody accepts.
Then she lay on her back and gazed at the cloudless sky. Mr. Beebe, whose opinion of her rose daily, whispered to his niece that that was the proper way to behave if any little thing went wrong.
My choice is what I choose to do, And if I'm causing no harm, it shouldn't bother you. Your choice is who you choose to be, And if you're causin' no harm, then you're alright with me.
I often lose motivation, but it's something I accept as normal.
My hands tend to be full enough dealing with people who hate me for who I am. Concentrate too hard on the millions of people who hate you for what you are and you're likely to turn into one of those unkempt, sloppy dressers who sag beneath the weight of the two hundred political buttons they wear pinned to their coats and knapsacks.
We only accept the love we think we deserve.
What an unilateral life, when from the material of a renunciation, we must fashion something we love.
The best thing about coming out is, it's totally liberating. You feel like you've made this incredible discoery about yourself and you want to share it and be open and honest and not spend all your time wondering how is this person going to react, or should I be careful around this person, or what will the neighbors say? And it's more. It's about getting past the question of what's wrong with me, to knowing there's nothing wrong, that you were born this way. You're a normal person and a beautiful person and you should be proud of who you are. You deserve to live with dignity and show people your pride.

It is a severe cruelty inflicted upon women...that we should be the ones who so desperately need love...affection...acceptance.And yet, we suffer...many of us, for lack of it throughout our entire lives.
People always did like to talk, didn't they? That's why I call myself a witch now: the Wicked Witch of the West, if you want the full glory of it. As long as people are going to call you a lunatic anyway, why not get the benefit of it? It liberates you from convention.
